Excerpts of Uhuru Speech on Covid – 19
- All forms of political and social gathering prohibited for 30 days effective midnight
- National Government, Police and County Government to strictly enforce the prohibition
- Funerals to be conducted within 72 hours of death
- Funerals shall be attended by not more than 100 persons
- Strict maintenance of Covid preventive measures like masks, washing hands, social distancing etc
- A maximum of one third to attend worship ceremonies
- Curfew extended for 60 days and all Bars must close by 9 PM
- Exemption of Curfew is granted to factories working on two shifts and essential service providers
- Establishment of Intergovernmental Coordination Committees in all 47 Counties
- Transport CS to develop revised measures in consultation with stakeholders
